    1. Solar Cell Does Not Angle for Best Charging With Sun
      Rating
      80%
I mainly purchased this because it allows for a number of power sources [1] solar cell [2] internal rechargeable battery [3] internal AAA batters, hand crank generator and plug into external battery or wall charger. For this I commend the design. What I don’t like is that though the solar cell angles, which I (my bad) assumed was for angling towards the sun for best charge, automatically turns on the underside light. Great light, but if you wish to get best solar charging you’re going to have to prop at an angle against some rocks. Secondly the SOS is a not just a pulsating light but also a steady blaring police siren. If it has to be this way, at least have it light and sound to SOS - dash dot dash dot. . .etc.. After all the electrical circuit to do so is simple enough. My flashlights all properly signal SOS. So I will add two (2) switches, one for the lights under the solar cell and the other one for the annoying police siren. I would like to give it 3-1/2 starts, but I won’t ding the Vendor as they mostly got it right. Good construction, compact, ok flashlight, good sound, has weather band and a good hand crank generator, which nestles into the housing nicely. So I decided to keep it for house and when we are travelling. Good product, but still needs a few updates to make it great.

    2. Excellent To-Go Power Source for the Price
      Rating
      100%
I originally bought this product to simply store in case of an emergency/power outage. Then we realized it was GREAT to use while out on a "no access to an electrical wall outlet" day (setting upvolunteering for civic events, hiking trails, weddings/receptions)--pretty much anywhere that either an outlet is not present or it’s unacceptable/bad taste to plug into one while at an event. The fact that it’s solar and hand crank chargable ironically makes is even more convenient than my regular external phone charger, as I not only have to remember to fully charge it (takes time too if forget), but it will deplete within a few hours of use. No, this bad-boy, I can simply set in the sun to charge back up--or turn a bored kid loose on the hand crank. Winner! The two light sources are excellent when I’m out as well (as compared to my straight external phone charger), as they keep me from having to run down my cell phone battery as we need light to finish putting away outdoor items at an event. I have been so pleased with this unit, that I have bought 5 more (2 for adult-children’s homes/family, 1 for uncle in wildfire zone prone to electrical shut downs, and 2 for homeless gals so they don’t have to scratch to find a place open/willing to allow them to charge). Superb!

    3. Big Bang for your buck.
      Rating

This little thing is pretty good, especially if your working on a small budget bug out bag. This radio can take 3 AAA batteries, and it has a lithium ion battery that can be crank charged, or solar charged. This radio also features two lights, one of which is pretty bright, however the other one is decent. The radio itself is pretty good for $20 it can even connect to local weather broadcasts and AM or FM radio like usual. Overall for twenty bucks this little thing offers a lot and can even charge usb devices. I feel this would be great for either a bug out bag, or even hiking and camping, because it also features an SOS mode so if you get separated from a group you can emit a loud siren and flashing red light.

    4. Great emergency flashlight / radio / charger.
I bought this to replace a similar product that had half the features and was double the price. I decided to really test it, check out how it charges via solar, hand crank, and charging from USB, and I can say that I am very pleased. With only one minute on hand-cranking, it provides over 10 minutes of FM radio and constant light from both sources. The light sources are very bright, and unlike others, are good enough to read by, and do other activities.

    5. Good Basic Radio
      Rating
      80%
This is not a radio that you will normally be carrying around the house blasting out your favorite tunes. But when an Emergency strikes this little radio might end up being your only news/weather source from the outside. It is built of durable made to last hard plastic and the solar charger seems to work adequately to provide enough charge. Why wait until the nights are dark without power and you are stumbling around in the dark- buy this radio today and keep in for that "just in case" moment.

    7. Recharges Via Cell Chager---Very Convenient
      Rating

I got this to replace the radio in my older model car. I love it. I recharged it with my cell charger and it works great. The flash light is good for walking from my garage to my front door. Even though I haven’t had to use the siren, I like knowing its there. Good price. UPDATE: My radio charging port got dislodged and now I can no longer charge. Disappointed it lasted 1 year only.

    8. Most comprehensive feature,s in a small package, for emergency situations
      Rating
      100%
For it’s size, about the size of your hand, it has one of the larger USB battery backups (2000mAh) available. Solar panel has a charging light, so you can position it for best charge. Crank handle is not fragile, so unlikely to break in use. Good radio reception. Siren, and red light - not all weather radios have that. This radio is marketed by more than one seller, in various colors, so you may get different offer prices.

    9. Earned a permanent spot in my emergency kit
      Rating
      100%
When Hurricane Florence came into SE North Carolina we lost all power and for a couple days couldn’t even fire up the generators. During that period that little hand cranked radio was our lifeline to NOAA weather, local radio reports, keeping our phones charged in hopes of returning cell service and light during the scary screaming winds at night. I must have turned that crank a million times, but it never failed us, and when it was all over it went right into the emergency supplies to be ready for the next one.

    10. Great for pool, beach, fishing, camping. Also emergencies and power outages
      Rating

Actually really like it. I take it to the pool and the beach decent radio. Convenient and small fits easy in a back pack. Many uses from emergency situations to a plain radi9 that can charge your phone. I would recommend it especially if you are prone to losing power, camping, fishing, etc... easy to use and well worth the $29.
