I did not expect all of the features on a unit of this size. I needed something I could put in my glovebox or carry in a bag and this really fits the bill. About the same length as my Android phone so it fits easily into a tote bag. Very easy to use and well constructed. No excuse not to have one of these in an emergency.

We got through Hurricane Ian with this!!!
Rating
100%
I highly recommend this product! We live right where Hurricane Ian hit. We were out of power for 4 days and couldn’t watch the news during the eye of the storm or afterward. It was a life saver to have a radio pick up the news (so we knew what was going on, and so we weren’t bored out of our minds). Listening to the news helped to keep us calm during the worst of it. The fact that we could charge this with solar power was a life saver!!! After the storm passed, we didn’t have electricity - but I could still charge this by setting it in the sunlight. And I always knew I would have a solar source to charge & recharge my cell phone. I cannot recommend this enough. I’m so glad I bought it. I encourage anyone in a hurricane prone area to have one just in case.

Just from opening from package, it’s a nice compact size. I have the option of hand crank, batteries, solar, or usb charge. I have the choice of fm/am radio with antenna. A flashlight, and phone charger. I feel it is important to have during an emergency!

Adequate so far

I haven’t tried to test the limits of this but it seems to be ok. If the battery is dead, a minute or two of cranking and you are listening to the radio for an hour or two. I haven’t tried charging external items yet other than about 5% put on an iPhone. It did charge but I have no idea how long it would take for a dead phone. The solar panel doesn’t seem to be enough to keep the battery from draining however.

Worked for us!

Bought this just in time for Hurricane Ian. My husband thought it was a silly purchase at first. Wouldn’t you know who hogged it once our power went out?? ;) The tuning and sound worked great and the flashlight plenty bright. I honestly can’t speak too much to battery life because we only used it for a few hours before heading to a family’s house who had power. We have little kids.. power outages are rough with them when you are told to stay indoors to keep from falling trees. Overall would recommend and glad to have it just in case.

Well designed product - Very pleased

I just received FosPower 2000mAh NOAA Emergency Weather Radio. I ordered it to replace my 10+ year old emergency weather radio which no longer charged. I have tried out all the functionality after charging it for a few hours. It seems to be a well-designed, compact product and I am very pleased with my purchase. I can’t comment on battery life yet -- but will be testing this next as well as solar charging. The radio sound quality is good (but don’t expect it to sound like a high end stereo). The LED lights provide plenty of illumination and are well designed. The USB output is able to charge my phone (tried charging for 15 minutes and saw the phone battery charge % increase).

This little radio has all the features anyone would want for a battery powered radio. I haven’t used it for a long period of time so I don’t know how the battery life will fair. I was able to tune in several channels and the sound came in loud and clear. I love the fact that it is small for storage. i like the fact that there are several ways to charge the radio and the solar panel extends the battery life. I would highly recommend this radio for all its features and the right price.

Had this with me for Hurricane Ian SWFL

Ok. Where to start. Had this in our emergency box we started during the beginning of Covid. Moved to SWFL almost 2 years ago. Hurricane Ian has passed and this bad boy got us through our power outage. Has a light that shines super bright. Radio was okay enough where we didn’t care as long as we were getting news and alerts. Again, Ian messed up a lot we couldn’t complain that it was spotty/ staticky. Also had a Weather broadcasting option. Fantastic. Only thing is it goes through triple AAA batteries almost every 14 hours. So be stocked on batteries for emergencies. We barely used the bright light. Also our “charging cell battery” was non existent. Wouldn’t work so we used our cars. We (thankfully) didn’t need the SOS button, it’s loud but not loud enough.
