    1. Radio is really Loud
      Rating
      100%
I like this item very much because in the area I live we tend to have storms that normally shut off the power frequently its a normal thing. We typically don’t like having silence throughout the house so music is always playing. But with no power it goes out. Having this as a backup is very good to continue sound throughout the house even if it’s just the radio. Although I have not had a chance to use it as a portable bank I like that it has that amenity. The SOS alarm is very loud I’ve had the unfortunate luck to turn it on accidentally & that gave me a fright each time. The LED light is also very strong but we primarily use it for the radio in case any news is relayed through the stations. We’ve had this item for over a year now & its been very handy. I like the fact that it has 3 sources to have power but I’ve only utilized 2 so far so it has more then one option.

    2. Superb little piece of kit!
Creating an emergency kit, given current times. I decided to review quite a lot and decided to chose this product. I am very pleased indeed. Its very versatile regarding power sources and recharging to which is what made me purchase this radio. My previous radio was charged via USB only, restricting me should we have power cuts. This uses AAA batteries too, to which i prefer as an instant remedy should the internal litium battery drain low.
I am an avid hiker too, so I will be enjoying this on the trail too, as it is very light and compact. It is very well designed, offers a lot vs its cost. Also, the gentleman representing FosPower is found on youtube providing helpful information, FaQs and dos and donts, although all is expressed within their easy to read supplied manual and demo videos too. Which again helped me with my research prior to purchase. Thank you very much FosPower. I wish you all the veryt best with your ventures and futuristic designs. GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT PRICE!

    3. Not great as a power bank, excellent as a radio, siren, and flashlight
      Rating
      80%
Power bank - The phone charging was inconsistent and from full to empty, charged my phone from about 30% to 60% give or take a couple percent. Radio - Pretty solid reception assuming you’re in range for AM, FM, and WB, with frequency ranges between 162.4-162.55 for WB, 87.0-108.0 for FM, and 520-1700 for AM. Pretty solid battery life for casual listening, I probably listened to FM radio while out camping for 8 hours give or take and still had a lot of battery remaining. Siren - Loud, distinctive, and will definitely assist whoever you need to find you in finding you. I haven’t had to use it for an emergency but in testing it, I was able to hear it from at least a quarter mile away in the woods, I imagine it probably carries farther. Flashlight - Not particularly bright but you can focus the lens to make it more narrow, but also brighter. I wouldn’t rely on it as a sole source of light but it’s excellent for a backup, and the light under the solar panel is great for lighting up a medium sized table (think picnic table). According to the sticker, it’s not rated for temperatures lower than -10C/14F so you may want to look elsewhere for those in cold climates, but in the southeastern US I’ve had no trouble whatsoever. If you want an emergency radio to take camping, or just something to leave in your car/home in case you need it, this is a great choice.

    4. Great Multi Use Emergency Tool!
      Rating
      100%
This is excellent for emergency use and (my personal use) for when your power goes out. The FosPower comes with a built in radio, power bank, SOS button, USB port, charging Port, solar charging, hand crank for charging and a LED flashlight. The flashlight is very bright, I was impressed by the light alone. LED lights produce more light with less electricity so this flashlight is brighter and will last longer. The handle is easy to turn and makes a little bit of noise. When it comes to charging, it is not super fast but it is decent when you have no other source of electricity. If you have a problem with noise, say at night you do not want to wake anyone up or bother them. This can be a problem, however the noise it not excessive. it does get louder the faster you spin. The Fos has the ability to be charged via sun, however it does not charge fast. Especially if it is not direct sunlight (By your window, in a shaded area) After leaving the device by my window all day it only achieved 20% charge, and it was already near that charge level to begin with. It’s a decent feature but it does not compete with the hand crank.

    5. Initial review and not what I expected
      Rating
      80%
I recommend watching the FOSpower videos on YouTube before making a purchase. The write-up on Amazon makes it sound like it’s super awesome but videos on YouTube tell the truth. Solar charge - takes literally days to recharge fully per the video. The one I purchased didn’t charge properly. There was little in box to help. Also, little online that I found helpful as well so we aware of that you will most likely need to contact Support via their site. The first support rep to respond didn’t read my email. The second requested that I try a different cable for charging the battery. Turned out to be a cable issue. When I reported that it was the cable, the third Support rep closed out the file and did nothing further. So just be aware that Support is lousy. I’ll update my review as I get to use the radio and its features.

    6. Great product, long manual charging time
      Rating
      80%
Product works completely as-advertised and has a decent-capacity, standard-size Li-on battery which can be easily replaced if it become damaged or stops functioning. It takes maybe an hour to charge from empty from a USB but takes easily a week or more of direct, California Summer Sunlight to fully charge and became quite hot while doing so. Cranking it for about an hour straight every day for a week and I didn’t get it fully charged from empty, when i was testing its capacity I charged my phone from 0% and on a full charge it would refill my phone to about 60%, though I don’t have the newest of phones. Hand-cranking it, I could never get the battery to charge my phone up more than 3-4% but I suppose in a life-threatening situation that would suffice. The flashlight is reasonably bright and the headlamp thing is pretty bright as well but better for lighting up a small area in front of it. The radio works fine, not like that’s a shocker, the SOS thing is kinda loud though I’m not really sure what you’re meant to use that for... Overall it’s pretty much exactly what I expected from a product of this price and with these features all bundled together, if you’re looking for something to throw in your car and check on maybe once a year, this is it. Charge it up and find a home for it in the trunk, it’s really small.

    7. Sturdy little weather radio.
      Rating

I like the fact you can crank it ,that it recharges sitting in the window all day day after day it’s been reliable so far I turn it on all the time. has a nice little flashlight on one end . You could hang it in your tent or over the sink while washing dishes something like that in an outage . Just don’t open the solar so far up and the light won’t come on so you can aim the solar to be ideal for where the sun is but in the window it’s been recharging itself just fine. It will continuously tell you temperatures abd other weather information however recently we had an outbreak as you know through the south and Noaa was not actually working so in that case it was not as useful as it could’ve been. It’s important to have a back up system that will inform you like weather on your phone or something like that. Some people find the droning on and temperatures and weather around the area irritating I think if it’s an outbreak I’m gonna listen to it be irritated to be safe lol. Additionally it takes a long time to bring those lithium batteries down you can play it for hours and still on four blue lights, which means it’s 75 to 100% charged. send in the car and get the lifetime warranty and enjoy it I think it’s really useful to have it, a long with my rock pal solar.

    8. Seems Functionally Acceptable
      Rating
      80%
I haven’t had to use it in an emergency, yet, thankfully, but the charge seems to be holding just fine. I crank it every week or so & it still has a charge. (Haven’t tried the solar charger yet) FM reception is horrible indoors, & iffy outdoors, but I bought it for the NOAA. I can pick up the NOAA signal indoors fairly well. It is better outside, but is functionally acceptable indoors as well. Don’t purchase this item if you want to listen to your local FM radio stations for music entertainment. It’s not intended for that. The speaker is tinny, but works just fine for NOAA broadcast. The included lights are nice, & fairly bright, but I have flashlights so I doubt I would use this device for lighting. However, in the case of a real emergency they would be nice to have. If your intentions are using this as an emergency NOAA device, in your bug-out bag, or when power is out, & nothing more, then this would be a good fit!

    9. Super Loud SOS Simple To Use
      Rating
      80%
The power bank feature seems to work pretty well - if I read the instructions right you have to charge the battery in the unit and then charge another device - I don’t believe you can charge a phone etc while turning the crank. I tested charging my cell phone it added 5% charge to my Samsung cell phone pretty quickly. The instructions give sample times for hand crank recharging the unit - for recharging other devices I think an avg 3 min of cranking to replenish the units battery bank for 20 mins of unit use or charging another device would give you an an idea of how much effort would be needed to fully off load and transfer a charge to another device. The solar panel charges the internal power bank but there isn’t a real indicator to say how much charge is taking place other than a single indicator light, that is either on or off. First charge took approx. 4 hours and that matched what the instructions for the unit indicated so that was on the mark. The radio feature even with antenna extended doesn’t seem to pick up stations very well - I have an older radio that picks up lots of stations but this one only seems to find one station and the weather radio feature none so far. The lights are well placed and bright. The unit is light weight and features seem well placed for use. The attached wrist strap is of good quality, but, the single strand of material attaching the strap to the unit won’t wear will and could be a problem - you might want to add a stronger connection from the unit to the strap if that is an important feature for your use. The charging features and options I would give this one a 5 star, for the radio feature and weak connecting strap 1 star. Cost vs utility I think for the functions the pricing is fair and I would probably buy a second one if the radio part worked better.

    10. Great radio
Worth the money to have, even if you just want to have it as a standby ready to go unit. Great for camping, especially hiking, and emergencies at home.
