    3. Great little weather radio for camping
      Rating
      100%
After a camping trip to the middle of nowhere with no cell service I realized that it would be beneficial to have an off-grid means of being able to know of impending weather conditions. This little radio clicks off a list of conveniences: solar charging plus hand crank so it will always have power, a reading light, flash light. Small size is easily packable for wherever adventures take you. I keep it on a windowsill so it’s always charged and ready to go.

I bought this radios for emergencies and so far it hasn’t disappointed me, The crank for charging it worms great and so far I haven’t had much of an issue picking up radio stations, I haven’t used the solar panel for charging it yet but I’m not to concerned about it as long as the crank on it still works. It so has a great little flash light on it For the price I paid I’m pretty happy with this purchase

I thought about sending this back, but live in hurricane country and like the hand crank feature if all else fails. The sound is not ideal and here’s hoping I will never be in a position to rely on it….like a week without electricity. I’m sure I’ll be glad to have it in that case.

After a few months of sporadic use, the lens fell out of the light onto the floor . Tried putting it back in, but it keeps falling out. The radio was never dropped or encountered any shock. I did not expect good sound, but that is ok. I can a t least understand what is being said on the radio. Tuning in a station is difficult but do able. The hand crank for charging, will make your fingers sore. Also, not real effective. As an experiment I cranked for about 20 minutes and the charged light never came on. The indicator was on indicating that it was being charged. No way to tell how much the radio battery was charged.
