Great timer. Really like that it has back up batteries in case of power outages. Had a little trouble programming it because it comes with hard to read (small print) instructions and it does "time out" pretty fast. When I called the company I was pleasantly surprised as they were so nice. I mean, who does NICE anymore? They walked me through the program process and I was good to go. The timer works well and I’m happy.

it was hard to figure out to program but one of the best purchases i made. how nice i can walk into the house late and see lights from the window thinking someone’s in the house from a stranger’s aspect but knowing not even me is there. i also like that i no longer have a dark house to walk into. tired of feeling round for switches and bumping into things.

Save the programming instructions. It works as it should, however the programming is not intuitive. I normally don’t keep instructions for little things like this, but after spending a longer than needed time to figure this out, I wished I would have kept the instructions! Other than that, I love that it has 2 plugs on either side and that it has an easily reached manual override.

Wow - What do all those buttons do? That was my first impression out of the box. It turns out to be quite intuitive and easy to set up. Comes with clear instructions that answered a couple of questions I had after tackling it straight on. My requirement was simple - just turn on a battery charger for 8 hours once a week to keep a battery topped off. Only took a few minutes for opening the box to completing the task. This little timer is way more capable and will be my go to timing device for other projects.

This electronic timer is almost perfect minus a couple of small issues I have with it. First, the directions are so small you need a magnifying glass to read them. The directions aren’t bad, they are just impossible to read. I’m sure the make the type so small to save space on the directions, but come on! It needs to be big enough to actually read them. I was looking for a small timer that was more precise than the older mechanical ones I had. This one was just the right size with two electrical outlets on either side. It has a capacitor in it to keep the timer working when not plugged in. This allows you to unplug it and program the timer. There are multiple on/off programs you can setup, including on selected days. There is also a "random" function which turns the lights on and off at random between two time settings to make it look like someone is home when you aren’t. What I don’t like about that function is it randomizes the time between two preset times you have no control over. I would prefer it would just randomize the time settings you have already made. The other small nit I have with it is you cannot set the seconds down to zero when setting the time. If you are looking for this kind of time setting accuracy, you won’t find it here. (If there is a way to do this, I haven’t found it) The unit also lets you use military time or regular 12 hour formats and has a setting for Daylight Savings time. It also allows you to manually turn on and off the lights. Despite these small nits, it’s a really good digital timer for the money. I would definitely recommend it
